Southern California Vacation

A couple weeks ago we went on vacation to Southern California to visit friends and family. We stayed with our brother Nate who lives in the gorgeous Belmont Shore area off of 2nd street in Long Beach. We lounged around in shorts (which was nice for a change since that NEVER happens in Monterey), we walked 2nd street, I ate at Open Sesame with my favorite girls & we shoveled down taco surf $1 fish tacos that are to die for. We had conversations late into the night with Nate & Jessica while sipping a glass of wine, and a relaxing Saturday brunch with my mother in law.

After leaving Long Bach we headed to Palm Springs to stay at our friend’s Aunt’s beautiful home that she so generously offered to us (thank you SO much RUTH!) A total of 9 of us arrived Friday night and stayed until Sunday. We celebrated birthdays, played games, swam, and went ¬†out for a night on the town downtown Palm Springs. That night included fantastic Mexican food and ended with Karaoke. You better believe Adam, Danielle, and me sang “Where is the Love?” by the Black Eyed Peas!! Below are some photos from our vacation, enjoy!

“After Wedding Season” Vacation

I’m back from Southern California! Adam and I planned to spend about one week in So Cal this month, which ended up being our “official vacation of the year” and “after wedding season vacation”. Since brothers and sisters of ours were busy having babies and planning a wedding in 2013, our families didn’t go anywhere. So we took the opportunity to set out on a journey on our own to visit some family and friends in the OC and Palm Springs.

Coming back from a vacation is always so hard! Settling back in…catching up on work left behind…and recovering from all the rest and relaxation ;-)! We feel blessed and recharged from our trip, and ready to take on the rest of 2013.

More vacation photos to come, along with and a Monterey wedding post that I am SO excited about!
