The father-daughter dance has me in tears so often I had to post this photo from Ray + Jen’s wedding at Memory Garden this past weekend. I yet again had a teary moment on the dance floor while photographing this sweetness.
Sometimes clients ask me about the outfits I wear on a wedding day, and today’s post is about just that! I like to stick with professional and movable, as well as minimal and nice. I have found wonderful shoes that I wear to practically every wedding…they are aerosoles! Ya you heard that right! They are loafers so double score since they’re in style.
My favorite stores for wedding clothing are Banana Republic and J Crew. To me they have good quality products, with items that are not see-through and revealing. I love the JCrew Minnie Pant and I tend to stick with darker tones such as black and navy blue. I have on occasion worn a dress but I am very particular about this. The length needs to be close to my knees and I test the movability before actually wearing it on a wedding day. You better believe this includes squats, a fast walk, and moving my arms every way possible.
My hair usually ends up in a ponytail with my hair tied around the band and sometimes if the day is cooler I will start the day with my hair down. Oh, and a watch is one of the most important pieces! I like the Fossil brand.
I think this covers it all! If you have any questions about anything I am wearing please send me an e-mail and I am happy to answer them.
It is amazing that it is already January 17th! Adam and I have found that as we are getting older time seems to go by faster. We are busier-our weekdays are filled with work and our weekends with weddings and time spent with friends and family. We realize it is all GOOD stuff! Our days are packed with great experiences and we are doing work that we love, we could not ask for anything else.
Here is our season in photos!

Jesse & Beth were married in Monterey California at Memory Garden October 12th! The beautiful white adobe building is lined with lush greenery and flowers. The garden is surrounded by historic buildings, nestled among downtown Monterey.
After meeting Jesse and Beth I knew they fit so well together! They had this comfortability that comes from years of friendship and familiarity.
They both value their family and expressed how very important their family photos were. When the day came, I couldn’t help but photograph their family! They all interacted with such love and kindness, it was hard to not want to capture such beautiful moments. Jesse and Beth THANK YOU for the opportunity to capture your wedding. It was such an honor, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
