Golfing the Historical Pebble Beach Course.

Pebble Beach. A world of glamour, beauty, and history. Since Adam works in sales for Pebble Beach Company we have had many opportunities to be a part of the perks that come with the job. We feel very fortunate to be able to participate in all that’s offered! On December 29th, my brother in law Tim and Adam golfed the famous Pebble Beach golf course and they wanted me to document their day. Since they are never jumping at every opportunity for me to take their pictures I was on it!

I am happy to be able to photograph moments like this, moments where we will be able to show our kids and someday Grandkids the adventures ¬†of our lives when we were young. Isn’t that why photography is so important?

Over & Over Again

Much like many dinner scenes in our home, I break into conversation about life, why we’re here, what we’re supposed to be doing, how to end world hunger. You know, calm dinner talk.

Many a time what gets brought up is the status of our goals and where we are at in terms of getting there.

“When it comes down to it, we can talk about it all we want, but mostly we have to do it over and over again to make it happen and to get better.”

Why is my husband so wise?

Here’s to doing, forever learning and getting better. OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Tee Time for Two.

On Adam’s birthday,May 15, Adam had the day off and so we went all around town doing whatever he wanted. Of course golf was included on his list of wants for the day, so off to Spyglass we went. I really enjoyed sitting back, watching my man play golf, and playing (or at least trying) to play with him on his favorite course in the world. It was beautiful, and as usually the wind was blowing , the air was ocean fresh, and families of deer came to spectate as we went from hole to hole.

Happy “Anniversary”.

Since Adam and I started dating in our early college days I of course created an anniversary for us on the day he “officially asked me out”. It went something like this ¬†according to me.

Adam: “I’m going to date you someday.”

Me: “Oh are huh? We’ll see about that… ”

Adam: “Oh really we’ll see? Why don’t we start dating now?”

Me: “Are you officially asking me to be your girlfriend right now?”

Adam: “I don’t know am I? What would you say?”

Me: “Well…I guess…yes…”

Then I walked over to my calendar, phone still in hand with a big grin on my face and I wrote on my calendar: Adam & Monika’s anniversary.

Here we are seven years later, married for two.

Happy “anniversary” love!

Mini Ketchup and Adam.

Adam loves ketchup. He loves all sauces. Finally after two years I have realized that sauces make him smile and in a lot of ways each flavorful bottle big or small, is a key to his saucy heart. We walked the beach this morning with Adam’s Dad, my father in love, and we picked up breakfast burritos on the way. When we got to the beach Adam took out this little bottle of ketchup and stated he had stored this in the warmth of his pants pocket JUST IN CASE I forgot to ask our favorite breakfast burrito diner for ketchup, or WHAT IF they forgot even if I requested the small pillows of ketchupy love. He came prepared.

We all have these weird (I mean cute) little qualities in us that make us unique and that make us smile in such simple ways. Thank you ketchup for making life good for my husband, which means it makes life good for me.
