27th Birthday

My parents came to visit over the weekend and what better way to celebrate than with brunch? If you know anything about me, you know I love breakfast. What better way to start the day than with good food, company, and a good view! Since Adam works for Pebble Beach Company we do end up eating at the restaurants within the 17 mile drive gates pretty often, so we ended up going to Stillwater Bar & Grill’s fabulous brunch. This week I took a break from blogging and have been reflecting back and planning ahead.

I feel old enough to be taken seriously, and young enough t0 have reckless dreams (although I don’t think we are ever too old to have reckless dreams). This year, thanks to my couples, brides, family, incredible industry peers…I have a new understanding that life is to be treasured and can be taken away from us in a second’s time. My faith has taken on a new strength as I yearn to learn more about and fall in love with our creator Jesus Christ. I grasp that this life is but a breathe, a short story in a large book. I want to love Adam better, laugh and eat with my family, hold my nephews until they are too big or because it isn’t cool anymore!

This is a year of new beginnings, of building, and being still.

Speaking of new beginnings I have been blogging for about 2 years now and in this time of fresh starts I happen to begin on a beautiful even number-200!

So heres to growing older! Treasure today, tomorrow, and your new beginnings.
